Job Description

An established Photography and Framing business seeks to employ a Photography Manager, to manage the Photography department including staff.  Previous experience in Photography is not essential. 

 

Minimum requirements: (non-negotiable)

Grade 12 / Matric equivalent

Driver’s License (with experience)

Own vehicle

Able to work Saturday mornings

Previous work experience is essential, with experience in working with staff and working to deadlines

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client bookings have been correctly received and scheduled, and relevant staff booked and prepared for the session
  • Keep updated with projects coming in: bulk photography, portraits, private groups, scan and fix etc, to ensure workload is evenly spread
  • Keep staff schedule updated and remind staff as needed
  • Track bulk photography projects through the internal process, ensuring no bottlenecks are formed
  • Quality check bulk photography, ensuring all details are correct
  • Plan for the busy season, and discuss with the relevant manager for additional staff / assistance
  • Ensure correct work is being prioritized as a department as well as for individuals
  • Keep up to date with filing (photographs and other)
  • Check invoices are done correctly, correct discounts applied etc
