Job Description

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides helpdesk and on-site product technical assistance and support to dealers, Service Managers, and supports the Customer Care department.

Duties include:

  • Provide product technical & diagnostic support
  • Provide highest standard of on-site technical support to Isuzu Dealer Network
  • Drive customer satisfaction by resolving technical product issues
  • Reduce warranty costs by providing Dealers with correct technical information & assistance
  • Track, manage and resolve product issues to ensure that the highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained

Minimum Requirements:

  • Trade Tested & qualified automotive mechanic (petrol, or diesel & Electrical
  • National diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
  • 7 years minimum experience in mechanical, electrical & diagnostic field of automotive engineering
  • Must have thorough understanding of:
    • Basic workshop best practices
    • Braking systems
    • Electronic systems (programming, diagnose, repair & support)
    • Engine fuel related systems
    • Transmission and driveline systems
    • Ability to read and interpret information contained in the workshop manuals
    • The use and interpretation of electronic fault finding and measuring equipment
    • Advanced Diagnostics skills and unique ability to think “outside the box”
