Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparation and processing of salaried (monthly) and hourly (weekly) payrolls
• Ensure that wages and salaries are paid correctly and on time
• Manage all payroll reports, timesheets and employee attendance
• Processing of overtime
• Upload bank files and 3rd party payments
• Maintain accurate leave records
• Submission of Reconciliation Declarations to SARS
• Prepare and issue employee IRP5 forms
• Submission of monthly UI19 declarations to the Department of Labour
• Attend to employee payroll queries timeously
• Notify management of any potential payroll problems
• Load new employee information on the payroll system
• Terminate discharged employees from the payroll system
• Keep abreast with current payroll tax requirements and relevant legislation
• Advise management on payroll best practices
• Print and distribute payslips
• Submission of ROE declarations
• Prepare payroll pack for audit purposes
• General filing and record keeping
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality of all information acquired regarding the employees/company
• Participate in special HR Projects

Qualification and Experience:
• A Matric Certificate
• A National Certificate in Payroll management
• Minimum 5 years salaried payroll administration experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive supplier experience would be advantageous)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Sound knowledge of Payroll best practices and principles
• Knowledge and understanding of PAYE, SDL, UIF, ROE, leave administration, Pension/Provident Funds, Medical Aid, EMP501
• Knowledge of MIBCO Main agreement
• Microsoft Excel at least intermediate level
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good communication skills

• Ability to multitask and work within deadlines

• Report writing skills
